From cake pops to French macarons, dessert tables are having a serious bridal moment. Dessert tables give your wedding guests a variety of flavors to choose from, as opposed to a single cake. Plus these diminutive confections make an easy treat on the go for the social butterflies of your reception. So for those of you brides to-be who wish to have your cake and eat it too, opting for a bite-size selection of desserts just might be a no-brainer. And for a few images of inspiration, we’ve put together a board of our small sweet favorites. Clockwise from top left: Cake shots: White Chocolate Raspberry, Tropical Delight, Pink Lemonade, Mocha, Cookies and Cream; Wowee Pops: Turtle, Red Velvet, Raspberry, Pink Lemonade, Mocha, Lemon, Almond Joy; Classic Cupcakes.
Art imitates art in these runway-to-wedding-day cake-inspired pairings. A visionary can gain inspiration from anything in the world. An artist is astute to even the smallest details of the world, because even the most unadorned elements of everyday life can spark an exquisite creative concept. So for today’s pretty pairings, we’ve drawn inspiration from the ready-to-wear and couture catwalks. From stark lines of black and fuchsia to three-dimensional appliqué and whimsical blooms, these twosomes are a match made in culinary heaven.
Last night we were ecstatic to put our culinary passion to use for a great cause, creating a three-tiered confection for Operation Marry Me Military Mecklenberg (OMMM), an amazing foundation that funds dream I dos for active military couples each Veteran’s Day. This year’s couple, Nikki and Aaron, were full of bliss and gratitude, and we feel the same about them–along with all of those serving and who have served our great country. It was a golden opportunity that filled our hearts with joy–and prompted a fitting palette picker of the day: Gold and bridal white. From our own metallic floral cake creation to gold foil stationery and sequin linens, this hue combo feels quintessentially fitting for the fall weather we’ve been enjoying and holiday season to come. And again, a big thanks to Heidi Crowder of Carolina Weddings and Events for allowing us to be a part of Nikki and Aaron’s special day, and many thanks to all the other participating vendors. Be sure to follow us on Instagram for a close-up of Nikki and Aaron’s cake, and other exciting ventures in the Wow Factor family.
